Power Animals

Power Animals Symbolize Medicine

Spirit guides show up as power animals to give us a particular power and medicine we need in our lives. Animals are more indicative to certain energies than people. For example, if a Bald Eagle shows up, we instantly know that he represents “freedom” and that is the medicine we need. All nations, states and even cities have power animals. The U.S. is represented by the Bald Eagle, California by the Brown Bear and the City of Calabasas by the Redtail Hawk. These are just a few examples.

Ted Andrews’ Book Animal Speak: The Spiritual & Magical Powers of Creatures Great & Small is an outstanding resource on the meaning of power animals and the medicine and power they represent.
